The Quebec Bridge was opened on August 22,1919 by the Prince of Wales Edward VIII. It is the longest cantilever bridge in the world. The Pierre Laporte Bridge was constructed from 1966-1970, it's the longest main span suspension bridge in Canada. It crosses the Saint Lawrence River approximately 200 m (650 ft) west of the famous Quebec Bridge between historic Quebec City and Levis, Quebec. The six-lane bridge, with a capacity of 90,000 vehicles per day, is the keystone of the Quebec regional highway network.
